Organiser Jim Ricketts said: “Plans are full steam ahead, and on track to hopefully be a busy transport festival again.

“It’s all down to weather, but plans for our road runs are still in place. People come for those. It’s like our arena – it’s some arena, to be fair.

“It’s amazing, and the views are just stunning.

“Fingers are crossed for our star attraction; the UK's replica 'Rubber Duck' black mack truck, with a can on the back from the 1970s movie 'Convoy'.

“The truck has been rebuilt by its owners from Yorkshire to collect for charity by attending events, and ultimately to bring a smile to the faces of wannabe truck drivers from the when the film was first aired.

“This is along with our vast variety of exhibits coming from all over the UK and Ireland to put on the spectacle again.”

In 2022, the festival celebrated its 30th birthday, with more than 1,000 exhibitions for visitors to enjoy.

At the transport festival, the gates open each day at 9am until late on Saturday and Sunday, and until 5pm on Monday.

Admission to the transport festival costs £8.50 for adults, £2 for children, and £2.50 for car parking.

The transport festival and the Victorian Extravaganza will be connected via a free “hop on, hop off” bus service, running from 10am each day, between the pair of them throughout the weekend.

A free shuttle bus will pick up and drop off from Vaughan Street, Llandudno.
