THE Lions Club of Llandudno recently celebrated its 46th year serving the community during its annual Chart Dinner at the St. Georges Hotel.
With more than 100 guests in attendance, it was a fitting occasion to present a number of cheque donations to good causes.
Ty Gobaith (Hope House) Children's Hospice and Tenovus Cancer Care both received donations from Club President Lion Wendy Mylchreest.
These charities were the main beneficiaries from the money raised during Llandudno Lions Boxing Day Sea Dip collection and Grand Prize Raffle.
Also receiving a donation was Mayor of Llandudno Cllr Carol Marubbi, for her nominated charities this year.
Various awards and honours were presented during the Lions Charter with the special honour of a Melvin Jones Fellowship being presented to Lion Alun Evans.
Alun has been a Lion for many years and previously served as Club President, and sits on the board of other organisations such as the area’s Royal Navy Association and British Legion.
