THE creator of Llandudno’s Prom Ally CIC initiative was invited to 10 Downing Street to celebrate St David’s Day.
Ally Elouise, who started the Prom Ally venture in 2015, joined other Welsh business owners, charity workers and entrepreneurs in a tour of the Prime Minister’s official residence.
Prom Ally offers the free loan of prom dresses and suits to school children, sixth form students and college students who otherwise cannot afford one.
Last year, Ally was selected to speak to HRH Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex at a ceremony at Buckingham Palace in which she received a Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Prom Ally was also one of 21 social enterprise finalists to take part in the annual 2022 Social Business Wales Awards in 2022.
Her latest visit was to 10 Downing Street, where she met other influential people from Wales, secured some contacts, and enjoyed “lots” of wine.
In a social media post after the event, Ally said: “It was lovely to be invited to Number 10 Downing Street today to celebrate St David’s Day with lots of other Welsh business owners, charity workers and social entrepreneurs.
“I met lots of amazing people and hopefully some good contacts for the future of Prom Ally.
“I did see Rishi from across the room but unfortunately didn’t get an opportunity to speak to him or shove a business card at him.
“They served us lots of wine, and yes, I saw the famous Hugh Grant staircase with all the Prime Minister portraits which was definitely my favourite part of the day!”
