AN MP has met with staff whose jobs are under threat as a company presses ahead with plans to cease production.
This is the third time Virginia Crosbie, MP for Ynys Môn, has met with staff a the 2 Sisters factory in Llangefni.
In January, it was revealed the 2 Sisters Food Group plan to cease operations at their factory on Anglesey.
This follows a review of the company's UK poultry division.
Ms Crosbie said: “I think it is important politicians are even more visible when there are challenges in the community they represent, so I have and will continue to go to 2 Sisters.
“The threat of job losses for these people is a huge stress and I want to support them, hear and pass on their concerns and be a sounding board for them.
“I have received a warm welcome every time and I will continue to liaise with the company and the Department for Work and Pensions so the workers have support and advice at this critical time.
“The company has laid out its reasons for closure and I understand the UK government and the owners are talking. I stand ready to continue to do all I can to help at all levels.”
More than 700 staff at the factory have been informed their jobs are at risk.
The 2 Sisters Food Group say their Llangefni factory is "not sustainable".
In January, in a statement, they added: "It is old, one of our smallest sites and lacking space to be efficient. The cost to produce here is higher, and it would require significant investment to bring it up to the standards of our other factories.
"Our products can be made more efficiently elsewhere across our estate."
The Welsh Government established a taskforce, to offer our support to affected employees, in response to the very likely closure.
In a statement on February 24, Vaughan Gething, Minister for the Economy, and Lesley Griffiths, Minister for Rural Affair and North Wales, said: "The Task Force’s Leadership Group met for the second time on Friday, February 17.

"It was disappointing to hear from the company that the first stage consultation had not brought forward any viable plans for 2 Sisters Ltd to maintain their site in Llangefni, and the company is now moving ahead with plans to cease production.
"The Task Force’s Operational Group is meeting on a weekly basis and involves a wide range of partner organisations and agencies. Their primary focus remains identifying and co-ordinating as much assistance as possible to support the workers impacted as a result of the closure, both in terms of securing future employment and their wellbeing.
"The Task Force was unanimous in its support for early and proactive engagement with the owner of the site in order to secure its future as a key employment site for Llangefni and the wider area.
"The Welsh Government will continue to work with the UK Government, Anglesey Council, trades unions and other stakeholders to support the individuals and the local community."
