A COMESTICS business in Llandudno hit heights of fashion when their product was selected for a London Fashion Week show with Kurt Geiger.
Code Cosmetics, on Clonmel Street, partnered with Kurt Geiger for the show UnHidden, the first adaptive diverse show with practical clothes made for people with disabilities.
Their Peggy Sage makeup covered the show, where 30 models with a range of disabilities took part.
Code, which has been in Llandudno for more than eight years, is run by Bexy Roberts, and is the only UK distributor of the cruelty-free Peggy Sage brand, which is popular in Europe.
Code’s products had already been the makeup of choice for Chanel Joan Elkayam’s Milan and Paris fashion shows, while Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic mentioned their liquid cream highlighters at his London Masterclass, before extending an invite to his Dubai version.

UnHidden was covered by the One Show and Channel 4, with Bexy’s mother Nicky saying the experience was “exciting”.
“The creative team have used all our makeup and the images are fantastic and we were present at the show,” said Nicky.
“The UnHidden show was very special, it was a masterclass of inclusivity and adaptive clothing.
“The designer Victoria Jenkins became disabled in her mid-20’s, which sparked the development of universal and adaptive clothing,”
A host of high-profile makeup artists on social media use the Peggy Sage brand, notably Nikkie Tutorials. Code work with them and others to deliver the brand.
For small shop in Llandudno, Code is having a huge impact on the world of fashion, despite flying under the radar locally.
“Although we are a small shop in the heart of Llandudno we are a hive of activity that is probably not known about much with the locals,” added Nicky.
“They are certainly missing out. Code is run by my eldest daughter Bexy Roberts and we specialise in all beauty products, makeup, skincare, nails, men’s grooming and have two hairdressers to the rear of the shop.
“We provide a trade arm for all our professional makeup artists and salon owners for our website Code Cosmetics and supply many colleges with beauty kits for students. A real one stop shop!”
