A YOUNG swimmer from North Wales won 11 medals, including eight golds, at a Welsh regional championships in Llandudno.
Amelia, a student at Myddelton College in Denbigh, took part in the three-day North Wales Regional Swimming Championships, held at Llandudno Swimming Centre earlier this month.
The young star took part in 11 events, achieving 11 personal bests and 11 Welsh National qualifying times in a hugely-successful outing in which she claimed eight gold medals, two silvers and one bronze.

She will now go on to compete in the Welsh Nationals in Swansea in April.
A Myddelton College spokesperson said: “Some fabulous swims and PBs as you will see from her official rankings and considering her last PBs were only achieved less than three weeks ago.
“Amelia should be proud of her performance.”
