WEATHER presenter and Wrexham AFC fan Ruth Dodsworth paid a visit to Gwrych Castle to help promote their 'School of Magic'.

The immersive experience is being held this February half term at the I'm A Celebrity castle near Abergele; visitors will be able to learn their craft through spellbinding challenges and lessons hosted by "wild and wacky wizards, professors and characters."

This was this first time Ruth had visited the site which hosted ITV's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! In 2020 and 2021.

A spokesperson from Gwrych Castle said: "Ruth visited us on Tuesday evening to film a Live segment for ITV Wales News. It was a pleasure to show Ruth around as it was actually her first time visiting Gwrych Castle. She seemed particularly impressed with the marble staircase and the dining room, where filming took place.

"Ruth met and spoke to our entertainment team who are launching our brand new event, School of Magic.

"School of Magic is an immersive concept which we will be using throughout the year but adding new elements, lessons and challenges to it."

Following the visit, Ruth wrote on Instagram: "Actual throne. Replica crown. Happy lady!

"Thanks Gwrych Castle for having us...what a place!"
