THE Colwyn Bay-based North Wales Crusaders rugby club is offering free junior (under-16) membership to every child living in North Wales.
“Junior Cru” members will receive a membership card which will permit them into every Crusaders home game for the 2023 season.
Members will also receive access to pre-match junior rugby sessions, “meet the players” opportunities, 10 per cent on Junior Crusaders holiday camps, the Crusaders junior annual party, and parent/family discount codes for certain games.
A club spokesperson said: “Youth is the future of our club, and we want to make sure watching Crusaders is accessible to every junior from the North Wales region.
“We see this as an important initiative to help grow our next generation of Cru supporters and we can’t wait to welcome new faces to the CSM Stadium next season.”

Meanwhile, Crusaders player Matt Reid is currently delivering healthy school assemblies and giving out Junior Cru membership cards to more than 4,500 primary school pupils across North Wales.
This is in advance of their first game of the season against Dewsbury Rams on Sunday, February 19.
This initiative is in partnership with the “North Wales Crusaders Foundation” and aims to inspire pupils not only to become a “Junior Cru, but also to live a healthy lifestyle.
These free sessions, part of the “Healthy Crusaders” assemblies programme, aim to take children on a short, interactive journey showing the importance of keeping fit and healthy while improving their wellbeing.
A club spokesperson added: “You will be in excellent hands, as Matt is a qualified teacher and specialises in PE.
“This exciting initiative has been funded by the People’s Postcode Lottery and is open to a limited number of primary schools across North Wales, starting on January 20.
“We have a particular focus in the following local authorises Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham.”
