A MAN from Rhos-on-Sea is to pay more than £800 after failing to provide the identification of a driver alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
James Raynham-Gallivan, 69, did not give information regarding the identity of the driver of a Citroen vehicle after being asked to do so by a member of South Yorkshire Police.
This was in Rotherham on September 29, 2020.
Raynham-Gallivan had pleaded not guilty on June 10, 2022.
Despite this, a guilty verdict was proved in absence at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on January 23.
He was fined £159, and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £620.
This totalled £813, to be paid by March 20.
Raynham-Gallivan received six penalty points on his driving record.
