AN AREA of bare land near the Llandudno Junction flyover is being turned into grassland for wildlife.

Originally a grassy area, the patch of land has recently been used to park untaxed cars.

Conwy County Borough Council are now reinstating this grassy area, which will be part of the development of a “species-rich” area in an effort to expand the local bee orchid population.

A Council spokesperson said: “We are reinstating a grassy area near the Llandudno Junction flyover which has recently become a patch of bare land used to park untaxed cars.

“We will be turning the area into a species-rich grassland which will help to expand the local bee orchid population.”

The flyover is currently undergoing repairs, with a third phase set for 2023.

The Council is aiming to complete the remaining work in April 2023, subject to funding.
