TWO beer enthusiasts have opened a new craft ale bar in Penrhyn Bay, ten months after selling their popular previous premises.
Beverley Williams and partner Roland Edwards have opened the Craft Beer Cave, having sold their B-More Local convenience store and original beer cave in February this year.
With Beverly having worked in the off-sales sector for many years and Roland a seasoned stock purchaser, the pair and their staff have lots of knowledge to share with customers to help them pick the perfect pint.
Roland said: “We always love chatting to our customers about their current and old favourite beers.
“We’ve been really buoyed by the way people have responded to our craft beer section and look forward to welcoming regulars and new faces to the Craft Beer Cave.”
With the move to their new site, the pair no longer sell just ales, with Welsh spirits such as Great Orme Gin, Penderyn, Aber Falls, and Barti Spiced Rum also on offer.
Having brewed up a brilliant reputation as the place to go in North Wales for British craft beer and local ales since first venturing into the industry in 2007, co-owner Beverley is delighted with the new site.
“We sold our convenience store in Penrhyn Bay in February and were looking for the perfect location to relocate the Craft Beer Cave to,” said Beverley.
“The new premises is a perfect location and size with the added bonus of our own car park.
“Huge thank you to Mod pods of Conwy for working their magic to transform the new premises.

Wanting to concentrate on just craft beers, the new business is a quaint bar filled with a wide range of ales, stouts, porters and other alcohol, boasting a selection of Welsh and British products.
Their website will soon go live, where customers will have the chance to click and collect or take advantage of free local delivery.
Upon opening last week, the duo said it was “great to see so many old and new faces” return to support them.
