BAR chain Loungers has secured planning to open a new restaurant on the M&Co site in Llandudno.
M&Co recently announced they will depart the site at the end of their lease in January, having become a staple of the town after more than 20 years at the Gloddaeth Street site.
M&Co recently went into administration, but Loungers had previously shown interest in the former Marks and Spencer store on Mostyn Street, before withdrawing interest.
Loungers submitted an application for change of use to a bar and restaurant in June, saying it would “enhance the provision of eating and drinking establishments in Llandudno town centre”.
These plans have now been given the go ahead, with the new tenants set to create up to 30 jobs and invest around £1.25million into the site.
