A CHARITY from Colwyn Bay set up a free warm clothes, winter boots, bedding and food stand for people in the town to help themselves to over the weekend.
The Kind Bay Initiative took the streets around the BayView Shopping Centre where they ran a stand for people to help themselves to a range of items.
The charity aim to tackle isolation and poor mental health by bringing people together at their Hub where they provide food, clothes and support, but this time went out onto the streets to help those in need.
With help from Heat and Serve who donated vegetables and meat, food from the local Foodshare as well as their drop offs of warm clothes, sleeping bags, and rucksacks.
Some of these items will be going to help rough sleepers in Chester and Wrexham through Shelter Aid.

Ty Hapus Community Resource Centre & Foodbank in Llandudno also helped out, with donations of pasta, baked beans and cereals to help the charity fill its treat and food boxes for Christmas, having run low on supplies before then.
A spokesperson for the Kind Bay Initiative thanked all those who had given generously, and added: “We put lovely warm hats and gloves on lots of cold children, lovely warm coats and fleeces to people who didn't have anything warm to wear and looked so cold, and found so many boots that were a perfect fit!
“A lovely thing to do and we all agreed that although we also ran the hot food and support session at the hub, it is great to get out into the community to let people know what we offer.
“We are so grateful to everyone, times are tough, but so much easier when we all join together.
“Thank you to Stuart at BayView Shopping Centre for allowing us to have a stand with only 48 hours’ notice!! We value your support.
“Special thanks to our two new volunteers Kieran and Mike, who were thrown straight into the deep end but performed like true KBI stars!”
