'BREAKFAST with the Elves' is proving a hit at the Welsh Mountain Zoo.
Pioneer chief reporter Suzanne Kendrick took her little boy to the Colwyn Bay attraction for the 'sold out' 45-minute festive event at the Penguin Cafe.
Elves Holly and Mistletoe were on hand to seat guests before reindeer and snowman topped pancakes were served.
Adults enjoyed a 'Christmas pig under blankets' breakfast bap as well as a hot drink [Gluten Free/Vegan/Vegetarian] options were available on request].
Suzanne said: "The whole experience was lovely and first impressions were really good.
"Holly and Mistletoe were really upbeat. There was a lovely friendly atmosphere and everything was so organised.
"I loved the presentation of the pancakes - we opted for a reindeer. With two tiny pancakes for ears and a bigger one for the face, they were perfect for little hands to grab. Everything has been well thought out. A gift was also included."
Half price entry is being offered at the attraction until Sunday, January 8 2023.
As well as Breakfast with the Elves, there is an Elfventure trail; Zoo elf Elfyn has dropped 10 presents around the zoo which need to be found by solving the clues. All successful trail finders will be entered into a prize draw.
There are also Christmas crafts running at the site as well as storytelling and a unique animal enrichment workshop.
Charlotte Dykes, marketing manager at the Welsh Mountain Zoo, said: “We understand the pressures that Christmas can bring and wanted to add an early festive gift with a full month half price entry offer.
"Breakfast with the Elves is incredibly magical and we have sprinkled some added Christmas spirit in with various activities and adventure right across the zoo.
“We expect a super packed zoo this year, particularly with the half price entry offer, and would encourage anyone who’s planning a visit to book early.”
