THE CHAIN that owns the Grand Hotel in Llandudno has been ranked the UK’s worst for the tenth year running.
Consumer choice group Which? said that Britannia Hotels sites “should be avoided at all costs”, and the chain received a customer score of 56 per cent.
Which? highlighted the countless issues raised by guests regarding a number of issues in their hotels, including cleanliness, mould, faulty toilets and a lack of hot water.
The Grand Hotel is rated the worst out of 53 hotels in Llandudno on TripAdvisor, with almost 700 ‘terrible’ reviews.

YouTuber Walk With Me Tim, who reviews hotels and holiday parks across the UK, described the hotel as “really dirty and grimy”, with other issues including mould, damp and general uncleanliness.
A ten-year regeneration plan for the town proposes a public/private partnership to buy and operate the hotel and restore its once-brilliant reputation.
The latest research was based on almost 4,500 hotel stays, with members of the public invited to rate their experiences at 35 chains according to ten key categories, including value for money, comfort, food, cleanliness and customer service.
