A MAN who did not surrender to custody in Llandudno, and was found guilty of three other offences, has been jailed.

Clayton Hardy, 32, of Maes Hyfryd, Wrexham, was accused of the following:

  • Causing £36.92 of criminal damage to a police holding cell in Llay on August 15.
  • Causing £36.92 of criminal damage to a police vehicle on Llay New Road, Wrexham on August 15.
  • Using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to Taylor Noble, causing Noble harassment, alarm or distress, at New Rhosrobin, Wrexham on August 15.
  • Failing to surrender at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on September 29, having been released on bail.

Hardy pleaded guilty to the first and second offences on August 16.

On November 14, he pleaded guilty to the fourth offence, but not guilty to the third.

Despite this, he was also found guilty of the third offence.

Hardy was jailed for 56 days at Wrexham Maelor Magistrates’ Court on November 14.

The court heard how the offence of threatening behaviour was committed while a suspended sentence was still active against him.

It was described as a “nasty incident involving threats to your neighbour” and an “offence committed in drink”.

Hardy is to pay £73.84 in compensation, as well as £120 in fines.

This made a total payment of £193.84.
