A FORMER Marks and Spencer site in Llandudno is to become a discount hot tub store from early 2023.

M&S closed the Mostyn Street site in March this year having traded at the spot for 80 years, moving to a brand new store at Parc Llandudno nearby.

The site is currently occupied by Calendar Club for the duration of the festive season, but it looks like their replacement has already been secured.

UK Leisure Living, a hot tub specialists company, have confirmed plans to move into the site in the New Year in the hoped of adding "extra life to the Llandudno high street."

The retailer will move into the site on a temporary basis from early 2023, saying they have “big plans" for the long-term future of the plot.

UK Leisure Living said it plans to open the outlet on January 16 with plans to take over the downstairs area of the old food hall, offering huge discounts on their products.

Announcing the news via their Facebook page, UK Leisure Living said: "We would like to thank Mostyn Estates for working with us on bringing some extra life to the Llandudno high street.

"They have big plans for the site and we are just there to fill in before work starts. Seems a waste for an amazing building to be left empty.

"Please support our new store as we create some temporary jobs during this period.

"You can apply on indeed for these sales assistant positions. Thank you for your continued support."

UK Leisure Living’s move to Llandudno will see their Mochdre showroom close temporarily, with availability on an appointment basis.

The hot tub specialist said it also plans to stock hot tub chemicals and accessories at its Old Colwyn headquarters.
