CONWY residents are urged to respond to the Boundary Commission for Wales’s consultation on its proposed new map of parliamentary constituencies.
The Revised Proposals see changes to the majority of constituencies initially proposed by the Commission in September 2021, and changes are proposed to both of Conwy’s existing parliamentary constituencies of Aberconwy and Clwyd West.
These proposals will apply to UK Parliamentary elections.
The Commission has published its revised proposals online at www.bcw-reviews.org.uk

Cllr Chris Cater, Conwy’s Cabinet Member for Democracy and Governance said: “I’d urge everyone to take the opportunity to look at the proposals.
"It’s not just a change of name, the boundaries have also changed, for example someone living in the Uwchaled area is currently in Clwyd West, but under these proposals would be part of the Bangor Aberconwy constituency.”
The proposals can also be viewed at www.bcomm-wales.gov.uk or local ‘places of deposit’.
The places of deposit in Conwy County are:
- Bangor Aberconwy: documents are available to view at Conwy Culture Centre
- Clwyd North: documents are available to view at Coed Pella, Colwyn Bay
The consultation closes on November 15.
