A BOXER from Llandudno claimed gold at a prestigious tournament in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Liam Taylor, who represents Llandudno Boxing Club, took part in elite 67kg category at the HSK Box Cup, held at the Fredericksburg Centre in the Danish capital.
The southpaw demonstrated his varied skill set with a unanimous decision win over Swede Mohammed Al-Maliki, outclassing the Malmo-based boxer with his agility and quick counters.
Liam then faced club teammate John Paul Wilson in the final, in what was the 68th fight in his life.
Taylor controlled the centre of the ring, bruising his opponent with punches to the body and head on his way to another unanimous victory and a gold medal.
Liam was one of thirteen boxers representing Llandudno Boxing Club at the tournament, which attracted talented boxers from across Europe.
