Cllr Angie O’Grady, chairman of Llandudno Town Council’s Fireworks Sub-Committee, said: “What a fantastic event last night. We are immensely thankful and very appreciative of all the work involved that goes into making the event as popular as it is.

"On behalf of the Town Council, I would like to thank the staff, councillors, volunteers, the Events and the ERF teams at Conwy County Borough Council and all involved in putting on such a fantastic display. Particular thanks go to Adam Williams of Tir Prince and his amazing team for all their support of this event and also Ignite Pyrotechnics who put on such a fabulous show.

"Without all the stakeholders working together, this event would not have been able to take place.

"I would like to thank every individual for making the event spectacular. The crowd were in awe, it was brilliant to see and hear their responses. From amazing, to the best ever.

"We are delighted to have been able to put on this popular Fireworks Spectacular enjoyed by local residents and visitors from far and wide. Once again thank you to everybody for a truly breath-taking event."

The display is considered to be one of the best fireworks displays in North Wales.

Is is becoming a tradition for the event to be held in October. This is due to the crowd-pleaser being "very tide dependent."

Llandudno Town Council has organised the display since its inception back in 1976.

Residents raved about the display on the Pioneer Facebook.

Jenny Stokes said: "Absolutely fabulous. Proud of you Llandudno."

Ange Walker said: "Brilliant display and so much planning behind the scenes. Well done to all those involved. Bigger and better every year."

Janet Finch Saunders, MS, who watched the display, said: "With dark and cold nights upon us, it was absolutely glorious to see a festival of fireworks in our hometown.

“The Queen of Welsh resorts already has a fantastic reputation for fireworks, and she did not disappoint. We were treated to a stunning show.

“I do not doubt that the event contributes positively to our local economy, and as such I hope that we will enjoy many more over the years to come.

“Most importantly, none of this would have been possible without the selfless commitment of so many individuals, especially those at Llandudno Town Council, Llandudno Pier, and Conwy County Borough Council.”
