A CARE HOME in Colwyn Bay invited pupils from a local primary school to read stories to residents.
Pupils from St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Colwyn Bay visited Merton Place care home to tell tales such as The Perfect Pet to residents.
The heart-warming idea brought different generations together, as both children and the elderly enjoyed a day of storytelling.
A St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School social media post read: “Merton Place, a local nursing home, invited some children to come and read to the residents today.
“What a heart-warming afternoon we had.
“The children read beautifully and the residents were wonderful listeners, praising the children for sharing their stories.”
People on social media said the activity was "such a lovely thing to do", with one adding that their child "loved reading to them".
