A CHARITY concert in Llandudno will be raising money for Hope House/Tŷ Gobaith Children’s Hospice.
The Cor Meibion Llanfair-ym-Muallt (Builth Male Voice Choir) will be performing at the concert from 2pm on October 15 at St John’s Methodist Church on Mostyn Street.
The choir has been going for more than fifty years, with a tradition of choral singing in Builth for more than one hundred years.
In 1888 the great ‘Llew Buallt’ took a mixed choir of 150 voices from Builth and district to Llandudno and won the choral section of the National Eisteddfod.
These days the choir under the leadership of MD Adrian Morgan concentrates on concerts, especially for charities, rather than competitive singing.
Entry to the concert will be free, with a retiring collection in aid of Hope House/Tŷ Gobaith, who provide care for babies, children and young people with life-threatening and terminal conditions.
The charity offers counselling and bereavement support to any families living in Shropshire, Cheshire, and Mid and North Wales.
