A CO-OP store in Colwyn Bay has reopened five months after being damaged by a fire.
The Co-op on Colwyn Avenue, Rhos-on-Sea was damaged by a blaze on May 17, and subsequently closed with no one injured.
The store opened in 2019, and Co-op had initially said it expected the store to reopen in a matter of days.
However, in June the company said it would be opened from November at the earliest.
A pop-up store was set up next to the site to provide residents with essential products, but the Colwyn Avenue shop has opened ahead of schedule, complete with a new ceiling, a redecoration, and replacement refrigeration.
Rob Gainey, Co-op Area manager, said they were “delighted” to reopen the popular shop this month, and were looking forward to getting back to serving the Rhos-on-Sea community.
