AN ESTABLISHED family-run carpet and flooring company are set to open a new showroom in Rhos-on-Sea this Friday (September 30).
Linney Cooper, who have received two Royal Warrants for their work at numerous Royal residences, have restored the former Picture Playhouse property in Rhos-on-Sea, which dates back to 1912.
The company will be moving from their previous premises in Craig-y-Don.
The showroom features a variety of carpets, rugs, and luxury vinyl tile products like Amtico or Karndean.
The building offers a more spacious layout for customers to enjoy perusing quality carpets, flooring accessories and home décor all on a single floor. The property design is also more inclusive as it’s now wheelchair and pushchair friendly.
Rhos-on-Sea is a significant part of the family business’s history, with the company starting in 1964 in the basement of founder Robert Hughes, who opened their first shop in Colwyn Bay soon after.
Robert’s sons and nephew joined in 1987 with his youngest grandson Dewi Hughes continuing the family tradition. He began his career as a carpet fitter to expand his flooring knowledge in 2012 and is now Managing Director.
Linney Cooper now represent North Wales in providing goods to Buckingham Palace and hope they continue doing so from their new local premises.
You can find Linney Cooper’s new shop at The Old Playhouse Theatre, 10 Penrhyn Avenue, Rhos on Sea, LL28 4RD where the company’s Sale Consultant’s, Debbie and Myles, will welcome you and assist you in finding the right flooring with their extensive knowledge.
The showroom will open on Friday between 3pm and 5pm.
