A MAN from Rhos-on-Sea has been ordered to pay in excess of £450 after pleading guilty to drink-driving while in Colwyn Bay.
John Evans, 33, of Abbey Drive, was accused of driving a Renault Trafic vehicle at Meirion Gardens on July 16 with 95 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.
Evans pleaded guilty on August 1.
At Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on September 22, he avoided a driving ban, but was fined £276.
He must also pay a £110 victim surcharge, and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
This totalled £471, which he is to pay in full by October 22.
