A VET from Colwyn Bay is set to take part in this year’s London Marathon to support a meningitis charity.
David Snaith, a practice principal at Conway Road Veterinary Surgery, will be running the famed marathon to raise funds for the Meningitis Research Foundation (MRF).
David said he had been “training hard” for the upcoming marathon, adding he had been “switching early morning runs from the scenic coastline of Wales to the rugged coastal paths of Protaras in Eastern Cyprus!”
The MRF are working with the World Health Organisation on a global strategy to defeat the disease, with the funds raised aimed at helping them towards achieving their ground-breaking goal of defeating meningitis globally by 2030.
So far, David has raised £200 from a target of £4,000, and you can donate to his JustGiving page here.
