THE Incredible Edible gardens in Conwy have been praised for the impact they have had on the community.
The gardens are run by volunteers lead by Celia Williams and Trefor Price, with the vegetables, herbs and flowers available for visitors and residents to come along and use.
They have grown as tea and fragrant herbal garden by the Conwy Library/Culture Centre, and have turned a walled garden area by the Tourism Information Centre into a vegetable and herb allotment.
Sunflowers, leeks, courgettes and various other vegetables are also being grown by the wishing well.
Celia Williams and Trefor Price took Aberconwy MS Janet Finch-Saunders on a tour of the group’s gardens.
MORE: Conwy Honey Fair to return this month!
Mrs Finch-Saunders said: “The hard work and effort that has gone into growing this marvellous array of vegetables, herbs and flowers is clear.
“These features add a distinctly unique flavour to the town of Conwy.
“Whilst the team currently comprises of 17 volunteers they are always looking out to welcome new members.
“I would like to thank Celia, Trefor and the team for all their magnificent efforts.
“If there are any budding gardeners who want to join this group, then please do get in touch.”
