A TOTAL of 17 people and three dogs were evacuated following a boat fire at Conwy Marina in the early hours of Sunday, August 28.
At 1.58am, the inshore lifeboat of the Conwy Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) crew, the May-Bob was launched with three members onboard to reports of a vessel on fire in Conwy Marina.
At arrival on scene with the vessel fully ablaze, the lifeboat crew of Rob, Tom and Sue were tasked with evacuating any boat owners who were aboard the boat on the leg of the fire.
The volunteer crew methodically went from boat to boat and safely evacuated a total of 14 adults, three children and three dogs.

In liaison with the Emergency Services and Coastguard, the lifeboat was then stood down and returned to the station at 3.30am where again the boat was recovered, washed down and made ready for its next callout.
A Conwy Lifeboat spokesperson said: We’d like to thank all the people at Conwy Marina (and their dogs) for their co-operation at such an early hour.”
A North Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson added: "We were called at 1.49am on the August 28 to Conwy marina.
"The fire caused 100 per cent damage to two motor boats. The cause is unknown."
