CREWS were called to three separate fires on West Shore in Llandudno yesterday (August 14).
Of these fires, two are believed to have been due to campfires left unattended.
The other, meanwhile is thought to have been started deliberately.
A North Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “At 8.25am, we attended a larger driftwood on fire in West Shore, Llandudno.
“The cause is believed to be deliberate ignition.
“At 9.58am, we attended a fire involving 2sqm of wood pallets on West Shore, Llandudno.
“This is believed to be (due to) a camp fire left unattended.
“At 6.47pm, we attended a 100sqm grass and gorse fire on West Shore, Llandudno.
“The cause is believed to be a campfire left unattended.
“One crew attended and it was under control by 8.31pm.”

An eyewitness, Wendy McGee, added of one of the fires: “It was very scary how fast it spread.
“Luckily, the wind changed direction – otherwise, more damage would have been done.”
