A MAN from Pensarn has been banned from the roads and received a curfew after he was found guilty of three drug-driving offences.

Mathew Leach, 26, of Station Street, was accused of driving on the A548 Marine Road in Pensarn in a Vauxhall Astra vehicle on April 28 while under the influence of the following:

• More than 65 micrograms of cocaine per litre of blood.

• 8.3 micrograms per litre of blood of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC - the cannabinoid molecule in marijuana).

• More than 400 micrograms of Benzoylecgonine (BZE, a cocaine breakdown product) per litre of blood.

He pleaded guilty to all of the above at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on July 29.

Mr Leach was banned from driving for three years.

He is also to serve an electronically monitored curfew, ordering him to be at his home address every day between 8pm and 6am until December 15.

The court also ordered Mr Leach to undertake a 35-day programme, and complete a maximum of 12 days’ rehabilitation activity.

He must also pay costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £385.
