POLICE have explained why officers were present in Towyn on Wednesday evening (August 3).
An eyewitness shared the above photo of two police vans, and a number of officers, parked on Towyn Road, opposite The Seagull pub.
North Wales Police confirmed they attended a licenced premises to ensure it closed on time and that “all patrons dispersed peacefully”.

A North Wales Police spokesperson said: “As part of seasonal policing of various areas, we deploy different types of vehicles to ensure a visible policing presence.
“We attended a licenced premises in Towyn last night (August 3) to ensure the venue closed in a timely manner and that all patrons dispersed peacefully.”
