A PAIR of men from Conwy have both been ordered to abstain from consuming alcohol after they were each found guilty of racially and religiously aggravated offences in Rhyl.
Jessie Mayhew, 25, of Mostyn Road, Colwyn Bay, and James Mayhew, 44, of Cae Derwen, Conwy, were each accused of threatening unlawful violence against Jake Jones on March 19.
Both men pleaded guilty at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on July 11.

They were both ordered to avoid alcohol for 120 days.
Jessie Mayhew must also:
• Complete a maximum of 10 days’ rehabilitation activity.
• Complete a 35-day “thinking skills” programme.
• Pay a victim surcharge of £85 as a full lump sum within 28 days.
James Mayhew must also:
• Complete a maximum of 10 days’ rehabilitation activity.
• Pay a victim surcharge of £85 and costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £250, to be paid as a full lump sum within 28 days.
An application was also made by the court for deductions from both mens’ benefits.
Both men were also accused of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards Mr Jones, but these offences were withdrawn.
