A YOUNG driver from Llandudno Junction has been fined after being caught driving after drinking alcohol.
Alex Gardner, of Glyn Y Marl Road, Llandudno Junction, recorded a reading of 41 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breathe, the prescribed limit being 35 micrograms.

The 18-year-old pleaded guilty to driving over the drink-drive limit in the area of Caernarfon Road, Bangor, on June 19.
At Caernarfon Magistrates Court on July 4, Gardner was fined £300 and disqualified from driving for 12 months. The disqualification period will be reduced if a awareness course is completed by February 3, 2023.
Gardner must also pay a surcharge of £120 and costs of £85, with the total amount to be paid in full by September 4.
