A talented young sailor at Rydal Penrhos with major success in a prestigious national competition.
Fflur Pierce is one of the school’s rising stars in the sport, having begun her sailing journey as a Prep pupil.
One notable recent triumph came at the prestigious Eric Twiname Junior Championships, which took place at Rutland Sailing Club and featured some of the brightest young sailors from across the nation.
Fflur competed in the Feva category and produced a series of outstanding displays throughout the weekend to quickly rise up the standings en route to a well-deserved second-place finish overall.
This represents another significant accomplishment from Fflur, who is set for a busy summer of action on the water in pursuit of additional accolades.
Phil Sutton, who is Deputy Principal of Rydal Penrhos, said: “Everyone at Rydal Penrhos would like to congratulate Fflur on her recent success and wish her the very best of luck in the coming weeks.
“Fflur is a tremendous ambassador for our RYA accredited sailing and water-sports centre and continues to inspire others looking to follow in her footsteps.”
