A MAN has been banned from driving after being caught drunk behind the wheel of a car with seven people in it.
Ben Mellor, 20, was stopped on Cayley Promenade on June 18.
He was driving a Mitsubishi Lancer with a total of seven people inside.
Mellor, of Park Road, Colwyn Bay, was found to have 46mg of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 35mg.

He was handed a driving ban after pleading guilty to driving while over the alcohol limit at Llandudno Magistrates Court on July 4.
With his guilty plea taken into account, he was banned from driving for 12 months and slapped with a £400 fine.
He also pleaded guilty to a charge of using a motor vehicle trailer in a condition likely to cause danger of injury, namely having seven people in the car while it was being driven.
But he was given no separate penalty for this.
Mellor must also pay £85 costs and a surcharge of £40.
He will pay £50 instalments monthly from August 1.
