THE damp conditions were far from ideal but the first Deganwy Prom Day in three years was still a great success last weekend.
The event, held for the first since 2019 due to COVID-19 restrictions, took place on Saturday, June 25 at Deganwy Beach and promenade, and featured music, dancing, a dog show, and even a special visit from Darth Vader.
Plus, plenty of stall holders turned out to raise money for various charities.
There was music from the Beulah Band, Choirs for Good and Rockin' Ron, plus a dancing display from Kaleidoscope Conwy, and a march by the TS Aberconwy Sea Cadets.

Biggest and best ever Deganwy Prom Day
The dogs and their owners enjoyed winning prizes in the fun dog show, sponsored by Murphy & Co Vets, plus Harley the Clown was there to entertain the children, along with the exciting sports day races at the end of the day.
A member of the Deganwy Prom Day committee said: "It was a lovely event for the local community and beyond, but the weather was challenging, and we would like to thank everyone who came along and persevered through the rain showers, and enjoyed all the moments in the sunshine.
“We look forward to hosting Deganwy Prom Day again next year, hopefully without the wind and rain."
