CONWY marked Queen Elizabeth II's 70 years on the British throne in a number of ways during the bank holiday weekend, including balloon displays and a beacon lighting.
A beacon was lit at the bandstand on Llandudno promenade on Thursday, June 2, and was one of more than 2,000 lit by charities, communities and faith groups across the UK.
Llandudno town crier, Billy Baxter, announced the lighting at the town's war memorial earlier in the day, while singer Anna-Marie Munro also performed "A Song for the Commonwealth" at the ceremony and Llandudno Town Band played a selection of music from the seven decades of the Queen's reign.

The new mayor of Llandudno, Carol Marubbi, lit the beacon, and said: “It was a great honour and privilege to light a beacon on Llandudno promenade and pay tribute to Her Majesty the Queen on her remarkable 70-year reign.
"On behalf of the Town Council, which organised the event, I would like to express my thanks to Llandudno Town Band, singer Anna-Marie Munro, town crier Billy Baxter, and all who assisted with the lighting.
"I would also like to thank the public who turned out in large numbers to support the beacon lighting."
The Welsh Mountain Zoo in Colwyn Bay also marked the occasion with a special "Jubilee Crafts" event on Friday, June 3.
Meanwhile, in Craig-y-Don, Llandudno-based "Ballooning Marvellous" gave shops in the area a patriotic facelift, decorating them with red, white and blue balloons, while a number of street parties also took place across the region.
