David Williams, Designing Out Crime Officer, said: “Shortly before 3am yesterday, there was a burglary at a house on Abergele Road, Llanddulas.
“The offenders broke in through the rear door in what appears to have been an attempt to find the keys for the homeowner's car which was on the driveway.
“Fortunately, it would appear that the offenders were disturbed and left without taking the car.
“Wherever possible, restrict access to the rear of your home since that is where most burglars will try to get to, and keep car keys somewhere where it would be unlikely that an intruder would look.
“Experience tells us that they will search through kitchen drawers and cupboards, halls and living rooms, but hardly ever will they go into bedrooms.
“If you have any information, you can contact us on 101 and quote our reference B081089.”
