A MAN from Conwy has been sentenced to prison after he was found guilty of assaulting a policeman.
Callum Jones, 34, of Esplanade, Penmaenmawr, was accused of assaulting PC Mark Lee by beating him in the town on February 20.
He pleaded guilty at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on May 27.

Mr Jones was sentenced to 12 weeks’ imprisonment, uplifted from eight weeks due to it being an unprovoked attack of a serious nature against an emergency worker involving a weapon.
He must also pay £200 in compensation.
