A COLWYN Bay man has been handed a suspended sentence and banned from all on-licensed premises in the town after he was found guilty of assault.
David Rush, 28, of Ffordd Dawel, was accused of assaulting Jack Brooks in Colwyn Bay on December 18, 2021, causing him actual bodily harm.
He was found guilty at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on May 25.

Mr Rush was sentenced to 26 weeks’ imprisonment, suspended for 12 months.
This was issued due to his use of glass as a weapon.
He is also banned from all Colwyn Bay on-licensed premises for 12 months, and must avoid alcohol for 120 days.
Mr Rush must also pay £500 in compensation and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
He is to pay this total of £585 in monthly instalments of £80 from June 23.
