A MAN from Anglesey has been banned from the roads after he was found guilty of speeding and driving under the influence of two different controlled drugs in Conwy.
Sen Morton, 30, of Lon Amlwch, Rhos-y-bol, Amlwch, was accused of the following while driving an Audi vehicle in Colwyn Bay on February 10:
• Driving at a speed exceeding the 50mph limit on “The Special Road” (Colwyn Bay-Llanddulas) section of the A55.
• Driving with no less than 9.1 micrograms per litre of blood of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC - the cannabinoid molecule in marijuana).
• Driving with 277 micrograms per litre of blood of Benzoylecgonine (the main metabolite of cocaine).
Mr Morton pleaded guilty to all of the above at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on May 18.

He received a two-year disqualification from driving, and is to complete 180 hours of unpaid work by May 17, 2023, but avoided points on his driving record.
In addition, he must pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service, and a £95 victim surcharge.
This total of £180 is to be paid in full by June 15.
