THE Aldi store in Mostyn Champneys Retail Park, Llandudno reopened this morning (May 26) at 8am, following a significant refurbishment and extension.

Llandudno shoppers can now benefit from a larger retail space of 1,315 sq m, offering an enhanced, varied shopping experience, with a large range of award-winning Welsh products to choose from.

The new format has been created to make shopping even easier for Llandudno customers, with the store now having more space and clearer signs to make shopping effortless.

Fresh bread and cakes have been moved to the last aisle, preventing them from getting squashed under customers’ shopping, and the store will now offer new, easy to browse freezers.

Llandudno customers can also take a walk down the “Aisle of Aldi”, where they will find legendary “Specialbuys” which are available every Thursday and Sunday.

During reopening week, the store will be offering a range of products to help shoppers celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee, including decorations for £1.99, a gin teapot and teacups for £16.99, and Kevin the Carrot Jubilee soft toys for £3.99 each.

The store, which had been closed since Christmas Eve, will be run by manager David Castle, along with a team of 26 colleagues.

Aldi has also created 10 new jobs as a result of the extension and is continuing to recruit for the Llandudno store.

David Castle said: “The team and I are really looking forward to welcoming back some familiar faces as well as new customers and supplying our local community with the everyday amazing products we have available.

“Hopefully, the new-look store will make shopping at Aldi Llandudno that bit easier and more comfortable.”

Following its reopening, the store will be open from 8am-10pm Monday to Saturday, and 10am-4pm on Sundays.
