A MAIN road in Conwy is closed in both directions after a "serious" crash.
Traffic Wales has said the incident has occurred on the A470 between Betws-y-Coed and Dolwyddelan.
The road is currently closed between Betws-y-Coed and Blaenau Ffestiniog and a diversion is in place.
Emergency services are said to be at the scene.
North Wales Police has described the collision as "serious".
The force posted on social media: "Please note that the A470 between Betws-y-Coed and Blaenau Ffestiniog is closed following a serious collision at Dolwyddelan.
"The road is likely to remain closed for some time so please avoid the area.
"Thanks in advance for your patience and understanding."
Police have said four people have sustained serious injuries in the collision.
Two air ambulances attended the incident, with both flying patients to the major trauma centre at Stoke Hospital.
