A MAN from Conwy who was found guilty of assault is to pay more than £200 and has received a restraining order.
Shane Hexley, 49, of Mountain Court, was accused of assaulting Debbie McCarthy by beating her in Conwy on October 3, 2021.
He pleaded guilty at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on April 19.

On May 11, Mr Hexley was ordered to pay £50, as well as £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £95 victim surcharge, to be paid in fortnightly instalments of £12 from May 31.
This made a total payment of £230.
An application was also made for deductions from his benefits.
He is also to undertake 65 hours of unpaid work by November 10, 2023, and a maximum of 10 days’ rehabilitation activity.
Mr Hexley must also not contact McCarthy directly or indirectly, or enter any address where she resides, until May 10, 2024.
