LLANDUDNO has been named the second-best seaside resort in the UK after a public survey conducted by Which?.
Which? promotes informed consumer choice in the purchase of goods and services by testing and highlighting products.
More than 4,303 Which? Connect members gave feedback on their recent UK trips to seaside towns, villages and resorts.

Destinations were rated on their beaches, seafronts, attractions, value for money, peace and quiet, and scenery, among other categories.
They were then subsequently ranked on a destination score out of 100 per cent, with Llandudno falling just short of first place on 86 per cent, with Bamburgh in Northumberland finishing on 87 per cent.
Llandudno was founded as a Victorian seaside town in the 1800s, and has remained extremely popular since.
The town upholds it heritage and traditions each year with the three-day Victorian Extravaganza, which recently attracted huge crowds.
The average hotel price of the Conwy resort was just £95, significantly lower than the towns around it on the leaderboard.

The town was rated a full five stars for its value for money, shopping, scenery, tourist attractions and seafront/pier, while its beaches and food and drink were rated four stars, followed by its peace and quiet being rated just three stars.
Llandudno offers a range of activities, from its 135-year-old Pier complete with the Llandudno Eye, the bustling Mostyn Street, its Promenade adorned with hotels, Venue Cymru, and the nearby Great Orme.
Local politicians praised the ranking of the town, with Aberconwy MP Robin Millar saying it “confirmed what we all know”, adding: “Llandudno, the Queen of the Welsh resorts, is truly one of the finest seaside destinations anywhere in the world.
“The United Kingdom is one of the most visited countries globally and I am delighted that Llandudno is now such a prominent feature of the UK’s global offer.”
“Tourism is at the heart of Llandudno’s economy, and to the wider economy of Aberconwy and North Wales.

“Throughout the pandemic businesses, especially those in the tourism and hospitality sector, have endured forced closures and restrictions and I am so impressed at the way in which so many are recovering and rose to the challenges of welcoming record visitor numbers last summer.”
Aberconwy MS Janet Finch-Saunders was full of praise for the town and its residents.
“I am truly delighted that the continued hard work, dedication and commitment of retailers, hoteliers and the entire tourism and hospitality industry in Llandudno has now been recognised by Which,” said Mrs Finch-Saunders.

“It is clear from the results of this survey that their efforts have paid off.”
