LLANDUDNO TOWN COUNCIL are welcoming entrants for this year’s Miss Alice competition, with just a few weeks left for people to apply.
The Miss Alice competition is open to all girls aged between eight and ten who live in the five wards of Llandudno (Craig Y Don, Gogarth, Mostyn, Tudno and Penrhyn).
Set to be held on Saturday, 11 June, participants will be judged on their appearance, communication skills, personality and knowledge of the ‘Alice in Wonderland’ book, which was inspired by the Gogarth Abbey Hotel on the West Shore.
The winner of the competition will be presented with a sash showing her title and a 'Miss Alice' outfit, while all successful entrants will receive an Alice in Wonderland 'goody bag' after the competition.

Miss Alice's duties will include attendance at Town Council Civic and other events such as Civic Sunday, Fireworks, and Christmas Parade.
She is also invited to make guest appearances at other public events within the town, such as the Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza, and accompany the Mayor to Civic Engagements, where appropriate.
On occasion Miss Alice undertakes visits out of the area, which helps to promote both Llandudno and the Miss Alice connection.
