A MAN who stole cooking oil from three establishments in Conwy worth more than £1,000 in total is to pay in excess of £600 and carry out unpaid work.
Varban Varbanov, aged 55, of Bounces Road, London, was accused of stealing cooking oil worth £396 from The Mulberry, Conwy, and £48 worth of it from The Rhos Fynach pub, Rhos-on-Sea, on December 17, 2021.
He was also accused of stealing cooking oil worth £792 from The Cottage Loaf, Llandudno, on January 10.
He was found guilty of all three offences at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on April 1.
For stealing from The Mulberry, Mr Varbanov was told to pay compensation of £200.

For stealing from The Rhos Fynach, Mr Varbanov is to pay £30 in compensation. He is to pay this £30 in weekly, £6 instalments, from April 16.
For stealing from The Cottage Loaf, he was ordered to pay £400 in compensation.
He was also handed 60 hours of unpaid work, to be completed by March 30, 2023.
A collection order was also made, involving deductions from Mr Varbanov’s benefits.
