THE release of two people who spent many years in prison in Iran has been celebrated by members of a North Wales campaign group.
At their monthly meeting, the Colwyn Bay group of Amnesty International UK, which draws its members from across North Wales, welcomed the recent news about Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe and businessman Anoosheh Ashoori, and a photograph of their celebrations was sent to both families.

The group has been active in campaigning and raising funds to support Amnesty UK's work of highlighting the predicament of both.
The meeting was also addressed by Nabila Khan, Amnesty UK's regional co-ordinator for China and Taiwan, on the history and persecution of the Uighur people in China.
The Colwyn Bay group meets at 7.15pm on the last Thursday of every month except August and December.
The April meeting will be at a new venue, St Joseph's Community Centre in Brackley Avenue, Colwyn Bay.
