A MAN from Prestatyn has been ordered to pay in excess of £500 after driving without third party insurance in Conwy.

Artur Aduszkiewicz, 38, of Heather Crescent, was accused of driving on Berthes Road, Old Colwyn, on August 31, 2021 without such insurance.

A guilty verdict was proved in his absence on January 14.

Mr Aduszkiewicz was fined £400, and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £40 and costs of £110 at Wrexham Maelor Magistrates’ Court on March 4.

This amounted to a total of £550, of which he was told to pay £50 per week commencing March 25.

Mr Aduszkiewicz was also given six penalty points on his driving record.

He avoided a driving ban as it was deemed that, if disqualified, he would lose his job as a delivery driver, which would result in him being unable to pay rent, and so lose his accommodation.
