CONWY HOME-START have thanked Rydal Penrhos for their support for a special campaign ahead of the festive period.
Conwy Home-Start is a charity consisting of trained volunteers and experts, dedicated to helping families with young children through difficult times.
Before the Christmas period, they launched an appeal to assist those less fortunate, with Rydal Penrhos supporting them through the donation of a significant number of toys and other items.
These items were then distributed across the region to families in need, with the Scheme Manager for the charity, Sylvia Chadwick, sending a letter of thanks to the school’s Chaplain, Reverend Dr Rob Beamish, for his pupils’ generous donations.
The letter read: “I am writing to you to express my sincere thank you for the wonderful collection you did for Home-Start Conwy over Christmas.
“I just wanted to let you know the gifts and toys were delivered to our families prior to Christmas.
“Our families were extremely grateful to receive all of the gifts and they were a huge help and surprise to the local families in need.
“The Trustees, staff and I are extremely grateful; we cannot thank you enough for your donations and we really appreciate your kindness and support.”
Rydal Penrhos’ support for this appeal is just the latest example of their generosity, having recently raised more than £1,600 for BBC Children In Need Day and supporting the annual Harvest Food Drive in aid of the Conwy Food Bank and the Kind Bay Initiative.
